The name of this article is Manot Cave Skull looks like Modern Humans to Neanderthals. The person who had written this article name is Robin Ngo. The site that this article is published on is the Biblical Archeology.org. This site is supported by the Biblical Archeology Society.

This is an organization that was founded as nonprofit and nondenominational. It was started in 1974. It was created to look at archeology that is related to places in The Bible. The organization has seminars, tours, magazines, videos, CDs and DVDs about the information that they have that is related to Archeology being combined with The Bible to help find things that are related to The Bible. The About The Biblical Archeology.org Section also mentions that the website is an award winning web site but the section does not say what the award is that the web site had won.

Robin Ngo is an editor for Biblical Archeology.org and The Biblical Archeology Review. She has been the editor sense 2013. She had received a B.A. from The George Washington University in 2005. She had received a M.A. from the Tufts University in 2007. She had received a M.A. from The University of Pennsylvania in Arts and Archeology of the Mediterranean World in 2010. This shows that she has experiences with Archeology. Now she lives in Washington D.C.

This article makes different claims. One of these claims is that Homo-Sapiens had moved from Africa to Eurasia and ended up replacing Neanderthal in the process. It also claims that Israel could be a point where Homo-Sapiens interbred with Neanderthal. This is that to be true because there was a 55,000 year old skull found in Northern Israel. The article also talks about the skull is a modern human’s skull. This is because of the shape of the skull. There was also Uranium-thorium dating done on the skull that dates it at 55,000 years old.

This claim has been made before many times. I have found different articles about this topic. One of these publications is Discovery. This is a science publication. It has its own channels, magazines, and multiple websites. Another publication was the LA Times. This is a news publication that is based in Los Angeles California.

The original claim was made by Nature. The authors of this claim are Isreal Hershkovitz, Ofer Marder, Avner Ayalor,Miryam Bar-Matthews, Gal Yasur, Elisabetta Boaretto, Valentina Caracuta, Bridget Alex, Amos Frumkin, Mae Goder-Goldberger, Phillip Gunz, Ralph L. Holloway, Bruce Latimer, Ron Lavi, Alan Matthews, Viviane Slon, Daniella Bar-Yosef Mayer, Francesco Berna, Guy Bar-Oz, Reuven Yeshurun, Hila May, Mark G. Hans, Gerhard Weber, Omry Barzilai.

One of the first people to write this article is Israel Hershkovitz. He does work in Anatomy and Anthropology. Israel works for The Dan David Laboratory for the Search and Study of Modern Humans, Sackler Faculty of Medicine. Israel does work in The Sienhardt Museum of Natural History and National Research Center. All of this work is done under Tel Aviv University in Israel.

The next person that had helped to write this article was Ofer Marder. Ofer is an archaeologist. Ofer works for Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He works in the Department of Bible. Archaeology and Ancient Near East. He is also from Israel.

There is not enough information in the article that was given for class. There were only a couple of paragraphs. It just did an over view of the topic. It really didn’t explain any further details. Some more things that the article could have covered was more sources in the academic field. It could have shown more data to the proof of this find. There was only one author. This author did have knowledge and experience when it had came to the subject sense she has experience in Archaeology.

The article from nature was more believable. There were sources that were referenced. There were a lot of different authors that had contributed to the article. It was very in depth. It had consisted in many pages of work. Compared to the article that was assigned in class the one from Nature was longer. The one from class was less than a page long. The article that was written for Nature had multiple picture of the site, and other pictures as well that are realted to the subject of the skull.

There was also a lot of data being done. There were charts for things like the Comparative morphometric analysis. There were multiple pictures of the skull itself that were taken in different ways. There were also pictures of other things found at the site as well.

With the lack of information that was given from the article in the assignment I still do trust it.
